Fiddlers Convention, 150-booth crafts fair to be Friday and Saturday in Athens
The unmistakable sights, smells and upbeat, twangy sounds of the 48th annual Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention will fill every corner of the campus of Athens State University beginning Friday morning.
Old-time music jams and contests, festival foods and an arts-and-crafts fair will continue through late Saturday night when a Fiddle Champ is crowned.
The convention has historically attracted more than 15,000 people for the two-day event, with more than 200 musicians participating in the musical competition.
