Airstream Special Event Rally to be Held at Fiddler’s Convention
The Alabama Unit of the Wally Byam Airstream Club will host a Special Event Rally at Athens State University from October 2 – 7, 2018, to coincide with the 52nd annual Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention. The Convention begins on Thursday, October 4 and runs through Saturday, October 6. It is held on Athens State University’s historic campus in Athens, Alabama.
Holding the rally in Athens will give event-goers the opportunity to experience the rich culture and history of the city as well as enjoy all of the excitement the Fiddlers Convention has to offer. In addition to the traditional music competitions, jam sessions, delicious food, and arts & crafts that are featured annually, this year’s convention will spotlight concerts featuring Flatt Lonesome (Thursday evening), Rhonda Vincent and the Rage (Friday evening), and Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder (Saturday evening).
The cost for the rally will be $50 per person 12 years of age or older and $30 for children under the age of 12. This price includes admission to the Fiddlers Convention on October 5th and 6th.
